Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms, while spacious, were in need of refurbishment, but the service was exceptional, especially from staff members like Amir and Hamad. The location is ideal for exploring Zanzibar and the dining options were delicious, although varied. Overall, the facilities were good but could use some improvements.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was huge and had a bath and shower, a monstrous double bed, and a great balcony with the best view in the entire resort. However, the uncovered windows made the room very bright early in the morning, which made it hard to sleep further. The service was top-notch, with very friendly and helpful staff providing excellent amenities. The location was perfect for accessing my boat easily but a bit far from other attractions. The dining experience was mostly good, although it got a bit repetitive. The facilities were great, especially the leisure areas.
The hotel looked royal from the outside and full of light, which was lovely, but it wasn't ideal for us as a couple. The service was very helpful overall, but there were instances of rudeness and demotivation among the staff. The location is excellent in Nungwi, though it needs maintenance, offering a glimpse into African culture. The dining experience included local dishes but became repetitive, especially for breakfast.
The hotel is situated in small buildings on either side of the gardens, which are huge but old. The rooms are generous in size and offer a good view from the balcony, which is big and spacious with amazing sea views. The service is exceptional, with staff greeting guests in the traditional way, Jambo, and going out of their way to help. The location is fantastic, although quite far from other attractions as Nungwi is at the very northern tip of the island. The dining options may be limited to basic food like rice, veg, and pasta. The facilities include leisure areas and overlook the beach.
My stay at the hotel was excellent overall. The rooms were spacious and clean, although the fridge wasn't very effective and lacked drinks. Despite this, the place was great, and I would definitely come back after renovations. The preparation for three guests in a room meant for two was a bit off, but our sea view room was stunning with a large bathroom and comfortable beds.
